Throughout your career, you have developed specific skills (setting up laboratories, projects, degrees – integrating your degrees into the local economic environment – supporting the writing of theses, HDR). These skills would be very useful to many universities, particularly in Africa, but also in South America and Asia.
You’re not sure how to proceed: Join us!
Get to know the USF team, which since 2009 has been supporting the efforts of underprivileged universities to become more autonomous. We have helped such universities benefit from skill contributions through obtaining ERASMUS grants. We have assisted in the creation of new degrees, facilitated the recruitment of staff in targeted skills, and conducted diagnostics leading to improvement actions. We also help organize international conferences that increase the national and international visibility of these universities. Support for integration or orientation actions, contributions to the launch or increased visibility of scientific journals, assistance to doctoral schools lacking supervision. These are some of the tasks in which you could get involved… at your own pace.
We promote development aid that starts from field requests with actions taken by local institutions. We are a support, a counsel, an assistance, an opening to international partnerships, but we never replace local initiative. This is how we believe we can achieve sustainable development.
