What is the status of the African Higher Institute of Information and Knowledge Technologies (ISATIC)?
USF had been contacted in 2010 by the founder of ISATIC and helped him in the design of this original institute in Africa with a great concern for the quality of training and integration into the economic development of Cameroon and Africa. After a long maturation process, ISATIC officially opened in 2020 with the approval of the country’s academic authorities and the academic supervision of the University of Douala and the pedagogical supervision of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Douala.
Indeed, ISATIC was created to respond effectively to the educational and professional challenges encountered in ensuring equal opportunities for young people, especially children from disadvantaged backgrounds or modest families, and for all those who do not find in the traditional educational environment the necessary conditions for their fulfilment and development. The Founder and Promoter of ISATIC wishes, through this institute, to develop Entrepreneurship and Innovation through the implementation of an active and empowering pedagogy. ISATIC offers professional diploma (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) and certification courses in the fields of digital technology and management.
From the 2024-2025 academic year, ISATIC is opening. with engineering cycle, Bachelor’s, master’s and MBA with its international partners and courses in specific logistics (hospital, urban, event logistics) from Bachelor’s to Master’s degrees.
In general, ISATIC reconciles and develops its experiential philosophy based on the “three worlds” which are: ISATIC (training), business (Incubator and ISATIC Junior Enterprise) and the ISATIC students. It is at the intersection of these three worlds that real competence is located. For us, it is this competence that “allows us to act, it does not exist in itself, independently of the activity, the problem to be solved”. It is part of the concepts of task and activity or work situation. This is undoubtedly the present and future project to develop the employability of young people.

ISATIC has a hybrid teaching system (face-to-face and/or distance learning). At the lower level, the training specialties are Software Engineering, Computer Graphics and Web Design, Computer Systems Maintenance, E-Commerce and Digital Marketing and Telecommunications. Professional bachelor’s and master’s degrees cover the following fields: software engineering, cybersecurity, e-health, management and security of information systems, big data, networks and electronic banking.
ISATIC already has many industrial and academic partners that it wishes to strengthen. All proposals will be considered.
