Animath: Extracurricular Math in Djibouti
Animath: Animath: ADAM-Maths, founded in January 2022, is the Djiboutian Association for the Development of Extracurricular Mathematical Activities in high schools and middle schools. Its goal is to cultivate students’ interest in mathematical research. In Djibouti, it is Animath’s partner, which provides remote support and organizes an intensive eight-day session there every year. This partnership is supported by Campus-France and the general inspection of education in Djibouti. There are eleven high school clubs with 250 students participating in activities preparing for olympiads in mathematics, computer science, and cryptography. The relationship with Animath is overseen by a member of the French Mathematical Olympiad Training Program, who has already supervised three intensive sessions on-site. The fourth session will take place in December 2025.
