Editorial 77

First of all, we are looking for an expert in the field of smart cities to set up training for an African country located in the Great Lakes region.

Various university rankings, like the Shanghai ranking, QS or THE, have had many consequences for higher education institutions, including boosting alliances to climb the rankings, often at the expense of international solidarity actions. That’s why the National Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) Lyon decided to start a collective reflection on engineering education in Africa for 2050.

On its side, the Catholic University of Lyon, along with other partners, is trying to see how the emergence of artificial intelligence is shaking up both the content of courses and teaching methods. Finally, the issue of knowledge assessments in the face of AI is discussed, casting doubt on the credibility of written exams. So, it’s necessary to rethink these assessments. Should oral exams be made more common then?

Enjoy the reading.
